Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy As a Framework for Reducing Suicide Risk

This review evaluates the utility of Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy (CT-R) for individuals with SMI at risk for suicide. CT-R fosters hope, purpose, and engagement by addressing key suicide risk factors, such as isolation and hopelessness. Findings indicate CT-R’s feasibility, clinical efficacy, and potential for integration into suicide prevention frameworks.
