Abstract

We used pooled data from 2017-2021 PRAMS survey participants in New Jersey (n = 8,893). Findings indicated that multiple social/prenatal factors (e.g., insurance, Race/Ethnicity, WIC participation, prenatal mental health) are significantly associated with postpartum depression. Perceived racial discrimination significantly heightens the risk of PPD among Black and Asian women.
