Maternal Psychological Trauma Assessed Prenatally and Offspring Outcomes

We examined papers (n=82) that assessed psychological trauma during pregnancy and offspring outcome. Here, we highlight areas of focus and areas in need of investigation to date to inform researchers studying the impact of maternal past or current psychologically traumatic exposures assessed during pregnancy on their child’s health and development.
