Cultural Adaptation of Youth Mental Health First Aid for Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African (AMENA) Parents: A Multi-Method Study Proposal

We plan to conduct interviews with AMENA parents to understand their families’ mental health needs, stigmas, and attitudes towards help-seeking. Guided by these perspectives, will develop a cultural adaptation of Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) for AMENA parents. We will then conduct an RCT to examine the program’s effectiveness.
