Risk Perception Moderates the Link between Authoritarian Parenting and Sensation Seeking in College Students

Abstract
College students’ risk perceptions significantly moderated the link between authoritarian parenting and sensation seeking in a sample of 122 undergraduate students. When parents were lower on authoritarianism, risk perception was not related to sensation seeking. When parents were higher on authoritarianism, students with lower risk perception reported higher sensation seeking.
