Abstract
We used an algorithm relating facial movements to pain and the Prkachin Solomon Pain Intensity metric to measure Painful-Not Painful expressions and influential sociodemographic factors. For 95 individuals (58 female, 37 male), we observed a significant main effect of Pain, indicating algorithmic utility in recognizing facial pain expressions.
