Resilience in Unity: Navigating Discrimination’s Impact on Marital Stability in Ethnic Minorities

We investigated whether high levels of ethnic discrimination may mitigate its negative impact on marital relationships using a two-wave dataset of 273 Mexican-origin couples. We found that wives who experienced discrimination reported improved marital function when their husbands also faced greater discrimination, highlighting stress resilience in the face of adversity.
