Abstract

A prospective memory task refers to forming an intention and executing it when appropriate. When such intentions are no longer relevant, they should undergo deactivation. However, research shows that there are aftereffects. The current study attempts to examine how similarity between prospective tasks and task status impacts prospective memory deactivation.
