Abstract

This study examined associations of adaptive emotion regulation strategies with psychopathology broadly using comprehensive instruments (i.e., HiTOP-Pro, CAT_PD). Positive refocusing, reappraisal, refocusing on a plan, distraction had the strongest associations with psychopathology broadly, whereas acceptance, putting in perspective did not. Results highlight differential effects of emotion regulation strategies on symptoms.
