Abstract
Prior studies reported face-category Stroop incongruency effects, but none have investigated whether political attitudes influence them. Participants showed significant face-name Stroop effects for the faces of Donald Trump, Kamala Harris, and Joseph Biden. Participants’ vote choice moderated these effects, with Harris’ voters showing significantly slower reaction times to Trump’s face.
