Chronic Strains, Social Support, and Psychological Distress Among LGB People of Color

Abstract
We tested traditional (e.g., social support) and novel (e.g., LGBT connectedness) buffers between chronic strains and psychological distress among LGB people of color (N=587). Although social support did not buffer, it had a direct effect on psychological distress (b = -0.14, p < .001). LGBT connectedness showed null effects overall.
