Abstract

We examined the short-term effects of violent media on spirituality. Participants (N= 906) viewed neutral, violent, or prosocial videos, then completed spirituality and hostility measures. ANOVA results showed nonsignificant effect of media on spirituality (p= 0.51). Media’s effect on hostility approached significance (p= 0.051).
