Abstract
We examined whether belief in a dangerous world (BDW) changed from preconception to postpartum, and whether BDW was associated with postpartum stress, anxiety, and depression in 135 participants. While BDW did not change, postpartum BDW was associated with stress, suggesting danger-related beliefs may contribute to maternal mental wellbeing.
