Developing a Treatment-Matching Algorithm for a Digital Single-Session Intervention in Depressed Adults

We developed Personalized Advantage Index scores indicating the benefit of a digital single-session intervention for depression over a waitlist for 828 adults. In training, PAI scores interacted with treatment to predict depression outcomes (β -1.187, SE 0.40, t -2.97, p 0.003). These effects did not replicate in the validation set.
