Mindset Matters: How Health Mindset Affects Outcomes in Chronically Ill Adolescents

This study explored health mindset, locus of control, and medical adherence in 117 adolescents with diabetes. While 67.6% exhibited a growth mindset, neither mindset nor locus of control significantly influenced adherence. Despite variability, participants showed good compliance overall, suggesting other factors like self-efficacy or health literacy may drive adherence behaviors.
