Abstract

The relationship between sensation-seeking and measures of extraversion, food preferences, and food neophobia will be explored to understand spicy food consumption. It is hypothesized that extraversion and sensation-seeking combine to increase intake of spicy food. Understanding trait personality factors that affect food consumption could help to encourage healthy eating behaviors.
