Impulsivity, Compulsivity, and Paraphilic Interests Among a US Community Sample

This study examined how impulsivity and compulsivity relate to paraphilic interests in a U.S. sample of 2,055 adults. Paraphilic interest in risky sexual behavior, such as deriving arousal from activities involving physical harm, was uniquely associated with both traits, highlighting important implications for targeted prevention and treatment strategies.
