Predicting PTSD from Life Interview Language of African American Women

Abstract

We will train language models on life interview language of African American women to predict PTSD diagnosis and severity. A moderate effect size is expected. Doing this can potentially help develop valid and unbiased PTSD assessment tools, thus improving treatment outcomes and bridging the gap of inequality in digital health.
