Abstract

Within longitudinal studies, attrition is commonplace. One solution utilized by researchers is to recruit supplemental samples and ask participants to retrospectively report on their past experiences. However, this project shows through simulation studies that inaccurate retrospective reporting can influence overall results. A practical guideline is provided on using supplemental samples.
