Abstract

Trait mindfulness was studied in relation to political polarization using fNIRS to measure neural responses to emotional political stimuli. Significant prefrontal regions, including the Left and Right Superior Frontal Gyrus, showed neural synchronization modulated by mindfulness. Results highlight mindfulness's role in moderating neural processing during politically charged emotional experiences.
