Abstract
This study examines code-switching (CS) in mother-infant interactions recorded from bilingual families in Hong Kong and New York City. Video analyses reveal diverse intra- and inter-utterance CS patterns in mother-infant interactions. The findings offer insight into how CS supports dual language learners' early development during everyday home interactions.
