Abstract

N=330 university students (Mage=21) completed online questionnaires. Emotion regulation emerged as a crucial pathway through which adverse childhood experiences negatively impact positive health practices. Additionally, the general resilience provided by self-efficacy highlights its broader role in bolstering emotion regulation abilities, making it a pivotal target for promoting optimal health behaviours.
