Internal Locus of Control Impacts the Relationship between Early Trauma and Emotion Regulation

We sought to examine whether locus of control mediates the relationship between early trauma and emotion regulation. There were 346 participants (M_age = 20.21). The results suggest that internal locus of control partially limits the development of difficulties with emotion regulation in college students who have experienced early trauma.
