Abstract

This study examined parent-child interactions, focusing on gestures and physical contact. Results indicated more gestures and contact in ASD pairs than in TD pairs. It’s possible that parents in the ASD group gesture more to capture their child's attention. Future research will explore gesture complexity, enhancing our understanding of communication.
