Sooner or Later? the Persistent Effects of a Study Tips Presentation on Students’ Study Strategies Depends on Presentation Timing

We evaluated whether teaching college students how to study early versus later in their first semester on campus would be more effective. Results indicated that the later presentation was more beneficial than the earlier one for improving planned study strategies and that these gains persisted across a full semester.
