Investigating Alterations in Vagus Nerve Activity Via Heart Rate Variability in Individuals with Bulimia Nervosa Symptoms and a Healthy Comparison Sample

The proposed experiment will assess changes in heart rate variability, a proxy of vagus nerve activity, in response to a laboratory stress task among undergraduate students with bulimic symptoms and a healthy control group. Results will help to elucidate potential autonomic nervous system dysregulation in the pathogenesis of bulimia nervosa.
