Abstract
Undergraduates’ alcohol use was influenced by perceived stress, mediated by anxiety, during the COVID-19 pandemic. A study with 244 students found significant indirect effects via anxiety but no moderated mediation. Neuroticism impacted the stress-alcohol relationship. Future research should explore larger, diverse samples and additional confounding variables for deeper insights.
