Abstract

Racism negatively impacts work performance. No studies have examined the impact of ethnic identity strength and different types of racism on work performance. We examined relationships between ethnic identity, racial discrimination and microaggressions on work performance among BIPOC individuals. Ethnic identity strength predicted better work performance, underscoring a protective role.
