Abstract
We used survival analysis to examine predictors of positive PTSD screen incidence and remission across five waves of data from 319 Puerto Rican Hurricane Maria survivors residing on the U.S. mainland. Optimism and English proficiency emerged as significant predictors of both the onset and remission of positive PTSD screens.
