Previous Trauma Experience and Age Predict Weather-Related PTSD Symptoms

Abstract
This study examined whether previous trauma experience and age predict weather-related PTSD symptoms in 512 U.S. adults. We found that trauma history significantly predicted both weather phobia and PTSD. More traumas were associated with symptoms of both, and older age predicted fewer PTSD symptoms but was unrelated to weather phobia.
