Abstract

Based on the socioemotional selectivity theory, we tested the relationship between age and learning and the moderating role of future time perspective (FTP) in two surveys and two experiments (Ntotal = 895). Age was negatively associated with learning. This relationship was nonsignificant among people who reported a more expanded FTP.
