Abstract

This study explores the possibility of the Abridged Big Five Circumplex (AB5C) model to explain risk-taking attitudes and risk propensity. AB5C traits, specifically cautiousness (III+/I-), showed a stronger relationship with risk-taking measures and higher incremental validity. Self-disclosure (I+/III-) and moderation (IV+/III+) showed mixed results for incremental validity.
