Abstract

This study examines age-related differences in social problem-solving (SPS) and the role of Theory of Mind and cognitive functioning in healthy aging. Comparing younger and older adults, it explores SPS strategies and assesses comprehension, awkwardness perception, and resolution generation. Findings aim to clarify mechanisms influencing older adults’ social competence.
