Abstract
Participants (N = 471) in psychotherapy were asked about what they do not talk about in therapy. The most commonly reported topics included addictive behaviors (26%), childhood events (25%), and sexual function (23%). Not discussing disappointment with therapist, intrusive thoughts, and self-harm correlated with therapy effectiveness, r=-.242~-.195, p<.001.
