Abstract
Sixty Arab daycare caregivers in Israel reported their attachment styles and completed a novel information processing assessment. They read hypothetical scenarios of distressed toddlers and reported likely responses (scales’ reliabilities = .74–.91). Anxious attachment predicted distancing from toddlers and self-focused responses, mediated by caregivers’ negative emotions.
