Abstract
A total of 137 participants viewed charged words, completed recall tasks, and took a reactive personality test. Lowly reactive participants remembered neutrally valanced words significantly less, F(1, 135) = 5.20, p = .02, η2 = 0.04, signifying emotionally reactive participants allocate less resources to neutral stimuli.
