Countertransferential Boredom and the Therapeutic Alliance

The proposed study will examine the relationship between therapists’ self-reported boredom and the quality of the therapeutic alliance during psychotherapy. The extent to which the state and trait forms of boredom are predictive of the therapist’s decision-making during therapy will also be explored.
