Abstract
This study tested whether hope moderated the association between types of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and resilience. Undergraduates (N=778) completed the ACEs Questionnaire, Brief Resilience Scale, and Trait Hope Scale. Hope interacted with deprivation, but not with threat or household dysfunction. Hope may promote resilience for those who experienced deprivation.
