Abstract

We investigated how false recognition affects prospective memory using a new design where prospective memory cues were words from the previous Deese-Roediger-McDermott (DRM) task. Results from two online experiments, involving a total of 62 participants across visual and auditory modalities, showed that critical lures enhanced prospective memory performance.
