Connect or Reject? How Regulatory Focus and Social Capital Shape Relationship Preferences

This research will examine how regulatory focus (promotion vs. prevention) and social capital (bonding vs. bridging) influence individuals' propensity to accept/reject new social connections. Through four studies combining correlational and experimental designs, it aims to advance social rejection literature by exploring the source's motivations and has implications on interpersonal relationships.
