Inspired Affects and Effortful Intentions: Composer Traits and States in Music Creation

Addressing a gap in the listener-oriented field of musical emotions, this study focuses on composers’ creative processes.  We examine how individual differences predict composer emotions and intentions as well as how creative (e.g., inspiration) and psychophysiological (e.g., chills) states change across different stages of the creative process.
