Abstract
Depression and anxiety, prevalent in emerging adulthood, often involve emotional dysregulation and maladaptive strategies like avoidance and rumination. A longitudinal study identified two emotional profiles, with avoidance as a key factor influencing depression, anxiety, and stress. Findings highlight the importance of targeting emotional regulation in interventions.
