Moral Judgments of Self-Harm and Suicide: The Self As Agent and Patient

Abstract
This study examines moral judgments of self-harm using two studies (N=300). Study 1 analyzes open-ended and Likert-scale responses on harm to self and others. Study 2 employs 2x2 factorial design manipulating reduced harm to self and others. We hypothesize harm to oneself uniquely predicts moral judgments, supporting the agent-patient duality.
