Memory and Attention Predict Narcissistic Personality Characteristics

Abstract

This study examines how memory and attention processes, such as divided attention and list learning, relate to narcissistic personality traits in young adults, controlling for IQ. Findings suggest that lower divided attention and better list learning are associated with narcissism, highlighting cognitive strengths and challenges that may inform targeted interventions.
