Abstract

This study examined the relationship between intrinsic motivation, emotion, and task-switching performance. There were 53 participants (26 females, Mage = 22.49). We found that emotional arousal mediated the relationship between intrinsic motivation and mixing cost in accuracy (β=-.083, p=.008). Our results partially supported the macro theory of positive functioning.
