Abstract

This study investigated the effects of functional remediation (FR) on serum BDNF/TrkB levels in euthymic bipolar disorder patients through a 12-week randomized trial. FR significantly improved serum BDNF/TrkB levels compared to treatment as usual (TAU). Changes in these biomarkers correlated with neurocognitive improvements, suggesting FR’s biomechanistic role in treatment.
