Stress, Body Image, and Tattoos Among College Students

We examined associations between tattooing, indicators of stress, and body image among college students. Tattooed students reported lower GPAs, higher cigarette use, and lower drive for muscularity. Tattooing was not related to appearance evaluation. Number of tattoos was not associated with indicators of stress or body image.
