It's a Dog Eat Dog World: How Beliefs about Animals Are Used to Rationalize Negative Human Behavior

The present research will explore modern belief systems regarding humans’ position in the animal kingdom, namely how some people rationalize hierarchies through their understanding of nature and non-human animals. We propose the creation of a Nature Beliefs scale to determine how pseudoscientific beliefs are used to justify marginalization and oppression.
