Abstract

Higher family rejection among 227 transgender and gender diverse (TGD) young adults (Mage = 21.7) was indirectly associated with higher anxiety through lower social support, but this relationship was buffered by higher resilience. Mental health clinicians working with TGD people should assess for and target social support and resilience.
