Minority Stress Among Transgender and Gender Diverse People: Higher Family Rejection Is Associated with Higher Anxiety Via Lower Social Support, but Resilience Buffers This Effect

Higher family rejection among 227 transgender and gender diverse (TGD) young adults (M_age = 21.7) was indirectly associated with higher anxiety through lower social support, but this relationship was buffered by higher resilience. Mental health clinicians working with TGD people should assess for and target social support and resilience.
