Abstract

We examined how vigorous and moderate exercise, daily steps, sitting, perceived stress, and somatic symptoms contributed to 216 American college students’ exercise satisfaction. Vigorous exercise and perceived stress were unique predictors of exercise satisfaction cross-sectionally. Time 1 somatic symptoms were a significant unique predictor of changes in exercise satisfaction longitudinally.
